Sahara Race 2012
In October 2012, Sébastien completed the Sahara race in Egypt – a 250 kilometers, self-supported ultra-marathon over five days through the world’s largest desert.
TIME Magazine voted the Sahara race among the world’s 10 most difficult endurance competitions. Every year, only about 100 participants dare to undertake this tremendous challenge, during which temperatures can sometimes get as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit (50 degrees Celsius).
From Mount Everest to the Sahara, Sébastien Sasseville had to transform, evolve and adapt. When facing the greatest forces of nature, great lessons are learned and they are always transferable to the business world. Although arid, the Sahara proved to be a breeding ground for inspiration for the speaker that Sébastien Sasseville has become.
