Cycling in Race Across America

In June 2022, Sébastien Sasseville became the second type 1 diabetic in history to finish Race Across America in the solo cyclist category.

Sébastien’s keynotes show you how to set and achieve impossible goals as a team

Race Across America is the world’s toughest ultra-cycling race. Without a strong, efficient, and highly engaged support team, no athlete can get to the finish line. This endurance event is twice the distance of the Tour de France and is completed in half the time. The race starts in Oceanside, California, and participants have a maximum of twelve days to cover 4,800 kilometers and reach the end in Annapolis, Maryland. To achieve this, the cyclists have to spend more than twenty hours a day on their bikes, with no rest days.

Typically, 50% of participants do not finish the race.

Sébastien’s team ensured he did.
